Richard M. Cavallero (Ric) has over 40 years’ experience in the financial services industry, primarily in commercial real estate, and has an extensive lending background in commercial banking, finance companies, mortgage brokerages and various entrepreneurial financial services businesses. His lending background includes CMBS lending, commercial banking (commercial lending, construction & SBA financing), franchise lending, and as a FDIC & RTC contractor for both Lehman Brothers and Arthur Andersen’s Real Estate Portfolio Group. During his career he managed the real estate lending operations for a Fortune 500 company, was a partner in boutique mortgage companies, has been a member of credit committee, a partner in a conduit lender for the Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities market and has been active in mortgage brokerage. Ric’s business education includes Lloyds Bank’s Management and Credit training programs, and GE’s Management training program. Having worked for and with real estate principals, lenders, accounting firms and brokers has given him a unique perspective and ability to accomplish his client’s needs. GE Capital, Heller Financial, McDonnell Douglas Finance, Bridger Commercial Funding, Franchise Mortgage Acceptance Corp., San Diego National and Lloyds Bank were previous stops in his career. He is an avid yachtsman and has raced sailboats since the late 1970’s.
